That’s where Santa Barbara Adventure Company comes in. As the premier adventure travel outfitter on the central coast, they provide knowledgeable guides as well as all of the kayaking gear needed for a day on the water. That being said, you will still need to bring a few things to make your sea kayaking adventure as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Here are a few tips to help you plan for your sea kayaking adventure no matter where you are in the world:
1) Know when and where your trip starts
Make sure you have the directions and start time of your adventure. I always like to leave a little wiggle room just in case I have trouble finding the kayak launch site.
Hydration is essential for any high level activity over extended periods of time. Bring lots of water!
3) Wear Synthetic Clothing
Think polyester, fleece, nylon, or even a swimsuit, as these materials keep moisture away.
4) Sun Protection
It is amazing what a hat, water shoes, and some sunscreen (well applied) will do to prevent sunburn.
5) Water Shoes
Think “Tevas” or “Aqua Socks.” Even an old pair of tennis shoes will work.
6) The Little Things
Bring with you a change of clothes, sunglasses with a neck strap, a waterproof camera and towel.
7) A Positive Attitude
You are going on an adventure!
Additionally, when you book your sea kayaking adventure with the Santa Barbara Adventure Company, the company will send you a detailed confirmation email with all the info you need to make your adventure truly remarkable. Wouldn’t it be nice to end your adventure at home in Montecito, Hope Ranch or any of Santa Barbara’s upscale communities? If that sounds like something you are interested in pursuing, please call me at 805.886.9378 or email me at Cristal@montecito-estate.com. We can make an adventure out of finding your dream home! Synthetic clothing optional.
