Easter at the Old Mission Santa Barbara

How about celebrating at this historic landmark? The Santa Barbara Mission was established on the Feast of Saint Barbara, December 4, 1786, and was the 10th of 21 California Missions founded by the Spanish Franciscans. We are so lucky to have The Mission in our community. It continues to be the chief cultural and historic landmark in the city of Santa Barbara.

This Easter, the public is invited to any of three special services, called The Lord’s Resurrection, on April 21. The first is from 7:30 to 8:30 am, the second will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 am, and the third service will take place at 11:00 – 12:00 pm. There’s also a Sunday Mass being held that day from 9:00 – 10:00 am.

The Mission, located at 2201 Laguna Street, is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. The docent-led tours take approximately 60 minutes and are available on most Mondays through Fridays at 11 am and Saturdays at 10:30 am. Visit www.santabarbaramission.org or call 805.682.4713 to learn more.
