1) The Great Egg Hunt at Elings Park, April 20, 2019
What better way to celebrate Easter and then to get the whole family out in the fresh spring air for an old-fashioned Easter egg hunt? The fun at Elings Park includes bounce houses, face painting, Dippin’ Dots, music, lots of eggs and, of course, the Easter Bunny! The Egg Hunt is divided into three age groups to ensure that every child has fun. The softball field will be transformed into a colorful sea of candy-filled eggs, so come celebrate the hoppiest day of the year.
Cost: Admission is free. Parking fee $10 per car. Please bring your own Easter egg baskets.
2) Eggstravaganza Egg Hunts, April 20, 2019
Join the City of Santa Barbara to celebrate at the annual Easter EGGstravaganza Egg Hunts. With two separate locations, Chase Palm Park and Bohnett Park, you can be sure your baby bunnies will have a blast hunting eggs as you relax in the shade. Children should bring a basket or bag with them to the park so they can take home their hard-earned treats.
Cost: Admission is free. Please note: Children ages 8 and under only. Hunt starts at 10:00 a.m.

Yes, we’re talking bottomless Champagne and mimosas accompanied by omelet and waffles stations, pastry towers, and a prime rib and cedar plank salmon carving station. Easter at the Old Mission Santa Barbara
How about celebrating at this historic landmark? The Santa Barbara Mission was established on the Feast of Saint Barbara, December 4, 1786, and was the 10th of 21 California Missions founded by the Spanish Franciscans. We are so lucky to have The Mission in our community. It continues to be the chief cultural and historic landmark in the city of Santa Barbara.
This Easter, the public is invited to any of three special services, called The Lord’s Resurrection, on April 21. The first is from 7:30 to 8:30 am, the second will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 am, and the third service will take place at 11:00 – 12:00 pm. There’s also a Sunday Mass being held that day from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
The Mission, located at 2201 Laguna Street, is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. The docent-led tours take approximately 60 minutes and are available on most Mondays through Fridays at 11 am and Saturdays at 10:30 am. Visit www.santabarbaramission.org or call 805.682.4713 to learn more.
